For both new and existing customers, IND-RA offers professional analyst skills to help you define, design and realize high value aircraft maintenance work flow and procedures enhancement.
As a customer expands into broader RAAS use, there often needs to be consideration given to how to best implement a specific process, or there may be a requirement to modify baseline RAAS functionality to suit existing work flows. Similar to an Implementation Project Management process, IND-RA can provide the expert resources necessary to help make best use of the RAAS aircraft maintenance system, or to design effective custom modifications.
Similarly, there are often opportunities to develop advanced integrations between RAAS and, perhaps, a flight operations system, a financial system, or a time-and-attendance/pass control system. While our baseline RAAS product offering includes data integrations, here we are referring to the opportunity to develop custom tools and utilities to make the best use of combined data from multiple specialist systems.
Whatever the project, IND-RA has the skills and resources to help you define, design and realize your objectives.
Regardless if you are a startup carrier or a legacy operation, implementing a maintenance and engineering system such as RAAS will require project management resources.
Considering that the primary objectives during an implementation are to avoid data confusion, keep new and redundant workloads to a minimum and ultimately keep your aircraft IND-RAing throughout the implementation process, it is clear an experienced management team is important to the success of any implementation project.
Implementation of a startup carrier can be less involved mainly due to the fact that startup carriers are less likely to have entrenched legacy workflow processes. However, a well planned implementation for a startup carrier will include full analysis of what best workflow processes should be relative to the carrier intentions, how those processes should be implemented and how system end-users should be educated in those processes. In conjunction with this will be configuration of aircraft tracking data, configuration of the various inspection programs and proving of necessary customized forms and reports.
Legacy implementations bring all of the concerns of a startup carrier implementation but also add a large analysis component where existing work flow processes must be fully analyzed in order that those processes are properly brought forward into the overall RAAS implementation. This analysis hopes to discover errant procedures, standalone programs and spreadsheets (etc.), and in every case the value of each will be evaluated and decisions will be made regarding how/if each can/should be brought forward. Given that this analysis spans all aspects and departments within the maintenance organization it is clear the project can consume a significant amount of human resources.
IND-RA implementation project management personnel are experienced aviation maintenance professionals who are able to perform a top-down analysis of existing work flow processes as well as future intended procedures, in turn helping to develop an implementation plan that is both realistic and achievable.
For larger projects we may supplement our own in-house project management resources with third party professionals. Many IND-RA customers use third-party resources regularly and if you have resources you prefer to use we will certainly interface with them to achieve the best possible result.
IND-RA offers end-user training services for initial implementations as well as on an ongoing basis. IND-RA end-user training professionals are equipped with expert knowledge of industry standard procedures as well as intimate knowledge or RAAS functions. This combination of skills allows IND-RA training personnel to not only demonstrate best use within RAAS but also to recommend best practices relative to the industry.
RAAS training is available through a number of channels including direct on-site training visits, on-line web-conference sessions and through RAAS End-User Training Conferences. On-site and web-conference training are focused to customer/company specifics whereas training conferences generalize on departmental RAAS functionality as it applies to all companies.
In addition to direct user training opportunities numerous training media is available including written help documentation and online video help.
IND-RA offers aircraft data migration, configuration and MPD revision update services both as part of an initial system implementation and on a go-forward basis.
Data migration and configuration is achieved using a combination of electronic and manual processes. The determination as to what process will be used for a given migration project is based on the source of data and the quality of the source data.
The RAAS system itself has export and import capabilities, and if the aircraft source data is from a RAAS customer then the import can be accomplished without any IND-RA intervention.
If the aircraft source data is from another aircraft maintenance data system then that data will be migrated into the RAAS standard import format prior to being imported into RAAS. If the source data is available in a data format that can be manipulated then the source data can be electronically migrated into the RAAS standard import format prior to being imported into RAAS. If the source data is paper-based, scanned or PDF-based then the source data will be manually migrated into the RAAS standard import format prior to being imported into RAAS. Regardless of the initial migration approach, manual audit of the data will be performed prior to any data being imported into the main RAAS databases.
As part of the aircraft data migration process IND-RA regularly advises on proper data configuration, to ensure RAAS customer data will gain the greatest possible advantage from RAAS data structures and RAAS features.
MPD source task data and revision updates are easily imported as well. In conjunction with this service inspection programs can be re-configured as necessary.
